Puzzle Moment is my own product, released in July 2026. The app is designed for e-readers with an e-ink screen, such as those from Boox, Bigme and Meebook: high contrast, large touch targets and no animations on e-ink. On first launch you pick your screen: black-and-white e-ink, color e-ink or a regular color display.
There are forty-one puzzle and game types, with a fresh set every day. Classic Sudoku alone comes in seventeen variants a day, from 4×4 to 12×12. Puzzles are generated on the server from a seed of date, type, language and difficulty, so the same day always yields the same puzzle. Every logic puzzle is checked beforehand and every deal of Patience and FreeCell has been played out by the computer, so each one can be solved.
Today's puzzles are free. Extra is a subscription that opens the puzzles of earlier days and keeps the next two weeks on the device, for days without internet. No account is needed, only a screen name, and the app carries no ads.
React Native for the frontend, Express and Prisma on MariaDB for the backend, with an admin console in Next.js. The store listings exist in six languages.
